Do you feel the sessions have helped you answer the questions you came for?
Although I started seeing Kim for a very specific reason I feel that the sessions have helped me enormously in understanding the root causes behind it. As a result, although my addictions haven’t completely disappeared, they do not seem such a big issue for me and I now feel more at peace with myself and more accepting of/pleased with who I am.
What has helped you the most ie what have you learned?
The biggest help has been in realising how much of my self-image has been inaccurate for many years. It had been based on a few emotionally charged distant memories that, in reality, have negligible relevance to myself and my life today. Consequently I now feel empowered to accept and enjoy the present and work towards creating the life I have been wanting for a long time.
What do you think of the approach used [Adlerian Psychology connecting present issues to beliefs of the child]?
I think it is a profoundly effective approach. Clear and effective!! It is able to get to the heart of an issue very quickly.
Comments on Kim’s professionalism
It has been an absolute pleasure working with Kim over the last few weeks. Although some of the issues raised have been painful to discuss I always felt that Kim was totally ‘with me’, offering empathy, support and insight. I never doubted her absolute commitment and focus on me and my story and, as well as being a highly skilled psychotherapist, she is also a beautiful, caring and lively person. It has been a joy to spend quality time with her.
If you were to sum the work you and Kim have done together what would you say?
We discovered how my perception of myself as a child has continued to profoundly and negatively affect my self-image up to the present despite the fact that, after close scrutiny, it is now wildly off the mark. As a result, I now feel happier with who I am as an adult and more empowered to live the life I want.
Is it was anonymous; would do you give permission for Kim to use some of part of your quotes on her website?
Yes, I would be proud if she did!

Kim is wonderful. She is approachable, professional and makes you feel totally at ease. She is fabulous at her job.
If you were to sum the work you and Kim have done together what would you say?
We managed to work through nearly 10 years of buried emotion in 5 sessions, and truly dealt with it all. Its amazing!
